At Hudson Valley Eye Surgeons, Monovision Correction is included in the cost of the standard laser vision correction (LVC) package. There are no additional costs. IS THE EFFECT PERMANENT? With advancing age, our eyes usually need ever-stronger reading glasses. Thus, years after their procedure, even patients with focus-enhancing correction often need glasses for prolonged reading or for detailed tasks. Once the laser is performed, however, the correction will always be present in the treated eye, and gives lifelong assistance for moderate near-vision tasks such as reading menus, shopping, and using computers.
