As part of an ongoing effort to bring our patients the best in complete eye care, Hudson Valley Eye Surgeons has added the Pentacam HR (high resolution) Imaging System to our array of state-of-the-art testing equipment. Our staff now utilizes the Pentacam HR imaging system as part of our screening and diagnostic procedures.

The Pentacam HR has enabled us to analyze the front "anterior" segment of the eye with an accuracy that was previously not available, thus permitting us to diagnose conditions and diseases with greater confidence and repeatability in less time. Further, the rotating imaging process lasts only seconds resulting in up to 138,000 measured and analyzed points in three dimensions. Using this new tool, our surgeons are able to optimally analyze candidates for LASIK, corneal surgery, complicated cataract procedures, as well as for glaucoma and difficult diagnostic situations.

The Pentacam HR performs five tests as once and generating hundreds of calculations instantly, vastly reducing the amount of testing required!
